Skill gain is fast here and the community is always willing to help a new member. Not to mention all the normal UO activities to get stuck in with. We have a lot of special events going on right now, plus some other recurring invasions and quests suitable for different skill levels. No better way to get a feel for how active we are than to come play with us for a bit. I honestly don't know if we are small, medium or large by today's standards as far as UO servers go, but I can tell you that it feels more active than many of the servers I have played on the past several years, including the official Broadsword servers (save for Atlantic) and even more than some that publish server population count. I would say we are second to none when it comes to community. The reason for this in my opinion is the community. I have been here for about 2 years and have watched players come and go (as with all servers), but I have also watched this server grow to 4 or 5 times what it was when I started (personal observation no supporting data). I, like many here, have played UO for years (since the day it launched for me) and I have played on a number of free or private servers over the years. An Open Source, community owned and governed, forever-free enterprise Linux. Your idea of healthy numbers and mine may be very different. Unfortunately server population is a subjective measurement of how active it is but certainly understand why you ask and it is not an uncommon question.
